Det hele startede i 1767 da Sophus Nielsen grundlagde kolonial engros-forretningen.Efter 211 år overtager Lund & Rasmussen i gennem aktier med et andet firma Styhr og Kjær og laver navnet om til dagros A/S.I 1983 slår de sig sammen med Brødr. Justesen A/S og laver et stort firma de kalder Dagrofa A/S
