Den visionære leder formulere klare visioner og mål og kobler dem sammen med medarbejderne. Ved at sætte fælles mål, kan jeg som leder styre mine medarbejdere mod målet, uden at diktere hvordan de skal komme dertil. Ledelsesstilen påvirker arbejdsklimaet positivt og er særligt anvendelig, når der er behov for at udstikke en retning for medarbejderne. Det kan være godt t bruge denne stil, hvis ens team mister energien og fokus på målet. I min hverdag, kan denne ledelsesstil især bruges i den stille periode vi rammer efter vores højsæson. Her er det meget vigtigt at vi stadig er 100% fokuseret mod vores fælles mål. Andre faktorer som kan påvirke valget af denne stil kan være:

Når man har nye medarbejdere, som hurtigt skal sættes ind i afdelingens mål, så vi sikre at vi arbejder i samme retning. Det kan godt være svært for mig personligt at bruge denne stil, når vi får nye medarbejdere ind midt i sæsonen. Der tiltrækkes jeg mere til den kommanderende stil, da de der bare skal gøre som jeg siger. Det kan dog være meget demotiverende for den nye medarbejder, hvis ikke de har et mål at gå efter.

En ny opgave kan også være en faktor som påvirker valget af ledelses stil. For giver man et team eller en person en ny opgave, er det også meget vigtigt at de kan se at der er et mål med denne opgave.

Hvis vi igen ser på min adfærd overfor medarbejderne og bruger Merlin Management Model, vil jeg som i den kommanderende stil, bruge denne adfærd overfor den nye medarbejder, eller når en medarbejder er ny i rollen. Som jeg sagde før er det meget demotiverende hvis man ikke kender til målet, med sit arbejde.

Hvordan vil denne ledelses stil påvirke en gruppe eller medarbejder positivt og negativt?

Hvis vi først kigger på den enkelte medarbejder, vil det nemt kunne påvirke negativt hvis man bruger denne stil forkert. Det er ikke folk som har et stort drive og arbejder godt med deres opgave, som man skal bruge denne stil på. Gør man det, vil de tvivle på dem selv, og blive usikre på om de faktisk har forstået opgaven.
Det vil påvirke den nye medarbejder eller den medarbejder som er ny i rollen, som jeg også beskrev før. Det vil være meget motiverende men denne stil, da de formentlig selv vil blive tændt på visionen og målet, når lederen er det.
