Men nu er han bange for Banquo, hvor han før var bange for hvad han havde gjort. Banquo er villig til at tage risikoer, han er modig og klog. Han er farlig for Macbeth, fordi Banquo muligvis kan regne ud, hvad Macbeth har gjort. Han er bange for at hank an pille Macbeth ned fra magten. Han er bange for at blive afsløret.
